Design outcomes
Primary
| Measure | Time frame |
|---|---|
| To evaluate the difference in physiological responses(defined as percentage of time spent in target range of 120 -160 beats/minute) during kangaroo care by father and mother in stable preterm neonatesTimepoint: Continuous monitoring will done during entire one hour kangaroo care session. One recording will be available every minute. All the recordings in one hour session will be analysed and percentage of time neonate maintains heart rate in target range will be calculated. | — |
Secondary
| Measure | Time frame |
|---|---|
| To evaluate the difference in physiological responses( define as percentage of time spent in target saturation range of more than 88%) during kangaroo care by father and mother.Timepoint: Continuous monitoring will done during entire one hour kangaroo care session. One recording will be available every minute.ALl recordings of one hour session will be analysed and percentage of time neonate maintains target saturation range will be calculated.;To evaluate the effect of kangaroo care by father and mother on stress levels in preterm neonates measured as change in salivary cortisol levels before and after kangaroo care by father and motherTimepoint: 30 minutes before and after kangaroo care session by father and mother | — |
