Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: All the individuals (male and female) with CKD and ESRD who are either in the pre-dialysis period or on continuous renal replacement therapy for more than three months and those willing to give informed consent

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Uncooperative subjects 2. Any significant abnormality identified on physical examination or laboratory tests 3. Subjects with: Pulmonary disease Cardiac disease Collagen vascular disease and Previous pulmonary embolism

MeasureTime frame
To assess the prevalence of pulmonary hypertension in patients with chronic kidney disease and end-stage renal disease.Timepoint: SAMPLE SIZE: Male and female patients 100 in number.Doppler echocardiography will be performed in all patients to access pulmonary artery pressure. It will be done once in six months for 18 months i.e.at 6 months, 12 months and 18 months.

To observe the effect of AVF on pulmonary artery pressure (PAP ) and other possible factors causing PHTimepoint: 6 12 18 months
