Intervention1: Group A - Test: Post tonsillectomy, the tonsillar fossae will be packed with gauze pieces soaked in cold normal saline at 5-10 ºC. Control Intervention1: Group B - Control: Post tonsil

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1.All consenting patients 2.American Society of Anaesthesiologists (ASA) physical status classification I and II 3.Patients who can understand the Faces Pain Scale â?? Revised 4.Elective tonsillectomy under general anaesthesia

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1.Any other additional procedure like adenoidectomy and uvulopalatoplasty 2.Emergency surgeries 3.Re-explorations
