To find if the abdominal size and the length of spine have an effect on the spinal anaesthesia given for caesarean section in normal healthy pregnant patients and those with high blood pressure of pregnancy.

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: ASA Grade I and II, Singleton pregnancy with gestational age more than 37 weeks undergoing elective caesarean section, Preeclampsia with no contraindication to subarachnoid block.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Weight 90kg, Height 170cm, any contraindication to spinal anaesthesia. Significant medical or obstetric morbidity,bad obstetric history,hemodynamic instability, preeclampsia with severe features like oliguria of Fetus with systemic abnormalities as found during pre-natal examination and fetal distress.
