Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: a localized periodontal pocket either in maxilla or mandibular arch with pocket depth of more than or equal to 5 mm involving more than 2 sites with minimum of 20 natural teeth.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1) history of systemic disease 2)use of prophylactic antibiotics or anti-inflammatory therapy six months prior to study. 3) patients with known history of allergy 4) pregnant and lactating women

Primary

MeasureTime frame
primary outcome will be measured by gain in the clinical attachment level (CAL) and reduction in probing pocket depth (PPD) at the end of 3 months.Timepoint: 1st, 2nd, 3rd month

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
improvement in overall oral health.Timepoint: 1st,2nd,3rd month
