Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: A Both the gender having age greater that 30 years with Type II diabetes with fasting plasma glucose >126mg/dl. B Patients on oral hypoglycemic drugs with no modification in therapy from past 12 month C Chronic periodontitis with Minimum of 15 natural teeth and at least four teeth with one or more site with probing depth (PD)equal to or greater than 5 millimeters, clinical attachment level (CAL) greater than 4 millimeters and bleeding on probing.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: Patients having history of A antibiotic usage within the last 6 months B anti-inflammatory drugs usage within the last 3 months C systemic illness D Pregnant and lactating women are also excluded E. Tobacco users / alcoholics F. Patient who has received the periodontal therapy within 12 month. G. Patient who has participated / participating in any other clinical trial in the past 6 months.
