Intervention1: Far cortical locking: Far Cortical Locking (FCL) has been introduced in which the reduced mid-shaft diameter provides unicortical fixation at the far cortex without being rigidly fixed

Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Fractures of Femur/Tibia in adults of either sex. 2. Closed and Open (Grade I) Long Bone Fractures of Lower Limb upto 2 weeks old.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Pediatric Age Group in either sex. 2. Pathological Fractures/Non-traumatic fractures. 3. Co-morbid neurological conditions which preclude weight bearing. 4. Mental retardation or difficulty in patient-doctor communication. 5. Fractures more than 2 weeks old. 6. Any pre-operative, intra-operative and postoperative complications including infection.

Far Cortical Locking (FCL) technique reduces stiffness to the extent that it is conducive for symmetrical healing in Bilateral cortex without compromising strength of the Construct as compared to the conventional methods of fixation which would be validated in the Indian scenario by this study.Timepoint: 1 year and 6 months
