Health Condition 1: null- Any patient who will be coming to Dept of Radiodiagnosis.He may be coming for routine USG or for follow up.Only probes used for such USG will be used for study without harming the patient Health Condition 2: Z000- Encounter for general adult medical examination

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Any Transabdominal and Linear probe used for ultrasonography of any patient except immunocompromised patients and neonates.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Probes used for ultrasonography of immunocompromised patients and neonates.

MeasureTime frame
% of uncleaned and cleaned probes showing colony forming units on microbiological media and the type of organism isolatedTimepoint: 0 hrs- Swabs collected from the probes before and after cleaning. 1 hr - Maximum time within which the swabs were sent to the microbiology lab for evaluation. 24 hrs - maximum time required for microbiological colonies to grow on appropriate media. 48 hrs- maximum time required to test antibiotic sensitivity. upto 1 week- time required for fungal colonies to grow.

To know in how many % of cases cross infection could be avoided because of different cleaning methods used to clean the probes.Timepoint: 0 hrs- Swabs collected from the probes before and after cleaning. 1 hr - Maximum time within which the swabs were sent to the microbiology lab for evaluation. 24 hrs - maximum time required for microbiological colonies to grow on appropriate media. 48 hrs- maximum time required to test antibiotic sensitivity. upto 1 week- time required for fungal colonies to grow. after this, data was analysed to know the chances of cross infection before and after cleaning.
