Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: patients who were alert, conscious and coperative, patients who could communicate in english and/or kannada

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Anticipated difficult intravenous cannulation, patients refusal to participate, critically ill patient
