Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1-Systemically healthy patients, both males and females in the age range of 30-55years having chronic generalized periodontitis with minimum of >=20 teeth, having at least one intrabony pocket with periodontal probing depth (PPD) >=5mm. 2-Patients with non-functional, vital third molars or teeth that have to be extracted due to advanced periodontal bone loss, or impacted third molars which are advised for extraction. 3-Patients with radiographic evidence of vertical/angular bone loss 4-Consenting patients who are co-operative and able to come for regular follow up

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1-Pregnant /lactating women 2-Patients on antibiotic therapy in the previous six months. 3-Patients who have undertaken any periodontal therapy in past 6 months 4-Smokers 5-Patients who are medically compromised or under therapeutic regimen that may alter the probability of soft tissue and bone healing. 6-Patient not willing for extractions.
