Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: ASA-I and II children who will be undergoing anesthesia for elective procedures
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1. Patients with known cardiac disease, pulmonary disease, neurological disease, disease affecting fluid and electrolyte balance of the body e.g. gastrointestinal obstructive or inflammatory disease. 2. Patients with any metabolic or endocrinal disease 3. Patients on i.v. fluids for more than 24 hours 4. Non consenting parents 5. Parents or child not compliant with the study questioner
