Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 90 patients between the age group 18 to 75years belonging to ASA physical status class I and II schedule for surgeries below umbilicus.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Contraindications for regional anesthesia including absolute refusal by patient, severe hypovolemia, coagulopathy, infection at site of injection, valvular heart diseases, patients with history of sensitivity to study drugs.

MeasureTime frame
To compare the onset and duration of sensory and motor blockade following intrathecal Bupivacaine supplemented with either Dexmedetomidine or Clonidine.Timepoint: Just after giving spinal anaesthesia sensory block checked by pin prick method and motor block by modified bromage score

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
Assess the haemodynamic stability postoperative analgesia requirement Any side effects in all groups perioperatively. Timepoint: Resque analgesic requirement by VAS score at postoperative 1,2,3,4,6,8,10,12,14,16,20 and 24hr Sedation by Five point sedation score intraoperatively and postoperatively upto 24hr Pulse,blood pressure and respiratory rate intraoperative and postoperative upto 24hr
