Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1)Age greater than 30yrs 2)greater than 20 teeth present 3)greater than 10% of teeth with probing depth of greater than or equal to 4mm 4)Bleeding on probing

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1)No other systemic disease apart from diabetes 2)Smokers 3)Patients who had received periodontal therapy with in 6months before study
