Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Patients with age >= 5 years and number of verrucae >= 3 on any site of the body other than anogenital verrucae were included.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: patients on immunosuppressants/ immunomodulators, immunocompromised patients, pregnant and lactating mothers, patients on treatment for verrucae (within 4 weeks of enrollment), known cases of severe allergic reactions to local anaesthetics and patients who declined to participate were excluded.

Patients were categorized as follows according to the clinical response: Responder: Complete resolution of all verrucae within three months. â??Complete resolutionâ?? was defined as the restoration of normal dermatoglyphics in the treated as well as the other affected areas of skin. Non-responder: No resolution or partial resolution of verrucae (number or size) at the end of three months.
