Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Patients with moderate to severe chronic periodontitis as assessed by probing pocket depth (PPD) greater than or equal to 5mm and clinical attachment level (CAL) greater than or equal to 5mm Patients with at least one pair of bilateral intrabony defects in either maxillary or mandibular arch

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Patients on systemic Atorvastatin or statin therapy Pregnant or lactating women Patient who has undergone periodontal treatment in previous 6 months

Improvement in Periodontal Status that is reduction in Probing Pocket Depth gain in Clinical Attachment Level Bone Fill in intrabony defects seen by advanced radiography that is RVG at baseline 3 and 6 months CBCT at baseline and 6 monthsTimepoint: Baseline 3 months 6 months
