Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Inhabitant of a community in an outbreak region of dengue/chikungunya will be eligible. Criteria as follow: • Healthy individuals of either sex, aged 1 year and above living in the same community • Informed consent by the family head • No symptom of dengue and chikungunya at the time of taking medicine.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Symptoms of dengue like illness/ fever in last 7 days at the time of enrollment Pregnant women and lactating mother Child below age of 1 year. Individuals taking other preventive medicines for dengue & chikungunya Patients with malignancy, immunocompromised state, life threatening diseases, end stage diseases.
