Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Adult patients (35-65 yrs) of either sex, American society of Anesthesiologists (ASA) physical status I and II with New York Heart association (NYHA) grading I and II, scheduled for MIDCAB surgery under general anesthesia will be included in the study.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Patients with uncontrolled medical diseases, uncontrolled psychiatric ailments, coagulopathy, infection at the local site and patient refusal.

Postoperative pain during lying supine, deep inspiration, coughing and patient movementTimepoint: 6 hourly intervals for a period of 48 hrs starting from patient arrival in the intensive care unit
