Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1.Subjects with moderate -severe periodontitis with clinical attachment loss of > 5 mm at 5 or more sites. 2.Having no systemic disease. 3.No periodontal therapy other than standard prophylaxis during the previous six months

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1.Any bacterial infection. 2.Those with diabetics 3.Pregnant women/ lactating mother. 4.Patients who were on antibiotic prophylaxis 5.Those who regularly use non-steroidal anti-inflammatory medication 6.Patients who smoke or chew any form of tobacco
