Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: who (i) aged 6-12 years (ii) were diagnosed asthmatic by a paediatrician (iii) had no other significant medical condition (iv) were on follow-up at the pediatric asthma clinic for > 1yr and (v) who were not given any supplementary feeds in the first 06 months of life, were included as Cases.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: (i) Children aged 6-12 years (ii) who had appropriate height and weight for age and (iii) had no other significant medical conditions, were included as Controls.
