Conditions

Health Condition 1: null- pregnant women aged 18 to 45 years with previous one caesarean section admitted for second trimester termination.

Interventions

Intervention1: Extra-amniotic saline instillation: 150 ml of 0.9% saline will be instilled extra-amniotically through Foleys catheter over 10 minutes Control Intervention1: Oral Mifepristone followed

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Pregnant women 1)16 to 27+6 weeks of gestation 2)previous one caesarean section 3)admitted for termination of pregnancy-missed abortion, congenital anomalies, intra-uterine death, medical reasons

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1)known allergy to Misoprostol 2)recent history of asthma 3)previous rupture uterus 4)placenta covering os 5)pre-viable premature rupture of membranes

1) To compare the efficacy and safety of extra-amniotic saline instillation versus combination of oral mifepristone and vaginal misoprostol for second trimester pregnancy termination in women with previous one caesarean section.Timepoint: Duration in hours. Induction to abortion interval is noted in both groups and compared.
