Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Patients indicated for periodontal flap surgery Subjects free of any systemic disease like diabetes, hypertension

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Patients taking any medication known to affect the outcomes of periodontal therapy 2. Smokers 3. Immuno-compromised patients 4. Pregnant and/or lactating women 5. Patients with any known allergies to chlorhexidine or triclosan 6. Patients who have taken antibiotics in past 3 months

MeasureTime frame
1. Healing will be assessed using Healing index by Laundry et al (1988) 2. Plaque on sutures will be assessed by visible plaque index by Ainamo Bay (1975) 3. Postoperative pain, swelling will be assessed using Numeric Pain Rating Scale given by McCaffery, Beebe et al. 1989Timepoint: Baseline, 8 days, 1 month
