Intervention1: Lifestyle or Behavioural changes: Individuals are provided with training/small group sessions (monthly) to prompt them to induce lifestyle or behavioural changes in them with an aim to
(2) provision of emotional/social and environmental support for lifestyle change and a healthy lifestyle
and (3) accessing and linking with community resources/supports for change and long term maintenance of lifestyle changes. In particular, Topic 1 will focus on strategies for the reduction of five key
increasing physical activity with walking, exercise and reducing sedentariness
reducing tobacco use with emphasis on chewing tobacco
decreasing alcohol use, particularly among men
and setting realistic goals and associated targets for weight loss and the related lifestyle risks.

Eligibility
Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1. Individuals (both women and men) 18 years and above irrespective of their religion / caste. 2. Individuals who belong to the 3 districts (Kollam, Ernakulam and Kannur) where intervention is taking place. 3. Individuals who do not belong to Kudumbashree mission.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1. Individuals who are less than 18 years. 2. Individuals who belong to other districts (than the 3 where the study is set).
