Eligibility
Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: Adult patients aged between 18 - 60 years, undergoing elective abdominal surgery requiring general anaesthesia with endotracheal intubation combined with continuous epidural analgesia
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: Patients in whom either general anaesthesia or epidural anaesthesia is contraindicated and patient refusal
