Eligibility
Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1) Patient who has understanding of the study and willingness to participate as evidenced by voluntary written informed consent and has received a signed and dated copy of the informed consent form. 2) Patient who is willing, able and likely to comply with all study procedures and restrictions. 3) Patient who has been diagnosed with a dry socket following tooth extraction as determined by clinical assessment through the following parameters: a. Postoperative pain in and around the extraction site. b. Partially or totally disintegrated blood clot within the alveolar socket.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1) Patients who are smokers 2) Patient on long term steroid therapy 3) Immunocompromised patients 4) Patients with jaw infections (osteomyelitis) and malignancy 5) Patients whose jaws have been irradiated 6) Pregnant patients 7) Patient with reported hypersensitivity to eugenol. 8) Participation in another clinical study or receipt of an investigational drug within 10 days of the screening visit.
