Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: children weights >1.5kgs, oesophageal atresia with lower pouch , upper pouch at T2-3 levels

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: coexisting known congenital heart diseases or preoperative cyanosis, other coexisting gastrointestinal anomaly requiring surgical intervention, syndromic patients, long gap fistula amunable to primary anastomosis and diffuse infiltrates on chest xray
