Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Haemo-dynamically stable Low Birth Weight (LBW) neonates 2. Kangaroo care provider available (18 years and above) 3. Family willing to bring the mother-baby dyad for weekly follow-up for at least 4 weeks from day of initiation of KMC and residing in a geographic area close to the hospital where home-visits are possible.

Exclusion criteria: Extreme preterm neonates (corrected gestational age Neonates less than 1200 grams
