Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Bilateral edentulous area in the maxillary arch with one or more missing teeth per quadrant 2. Age - 45 ± 15 years 3. Extraction performed 6 months prior to the implant placement. 4. Adequate amount of bone volume.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Inadequate bone height and bone width 2. Poor oral hygiene 3. Smoking cigarettes >10 per day 4. Systemic diseases affecting osseointegration 5. Para-functional habits

Primary

MeasureTime frame
LLLT would act as an adjunct to PRF to initiate early bone healing and accelerate osseointegration in low-density bone.Timepoint: T1: immediately after implant placement T2: 1 week after implant placement T3: 1 month after implant placement T4: 3 months after implant placement

MeasureTime frame
Bone quality is a crucial factor for the success of osseointegrated implants. However, with regard to the rehabilitation of low-density bone, seen often in posterior maxilla, the success rates are not promising.The artificial membranes used to enhance the osseointegration are generally expensive with a possibility of disease transmission; nevertheless, a product from the patientâ??s own blood such as Platelet Rich Fibrin (PRF) would act as a supplement to the procedure of tissue regeneration.Timepoint: T1: immediately after implant placement T2: 1 week after implant placement T3: 1 month after implant placement T4: 3 months after implant placement
