Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Inclusion criteria: 1) An axial length less than 20.5mm 2) Retinal-choroidal-scleral thickness greater than 1.7mm 3) Visually significant cataract.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Exclusion criteria: Patients who had other anatomic and structural abnormalities like 1) Microcornea 2) Chorioretinal coloboma 3) Retinitis pigmentosa 4) Foveal schisis

Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
Intra-operative and post-operative complications was compared between the two groups.Timepoint: 6 months

MeasureTime frame
Visual acuity, IOP, axial length, retino choroidal thickness was compared between the two groups. Assessment of outcome based on type of cataract surgery (PHACO or SICS)Timepoint: One year
