Intervention1: LAD group: Dexmedetomidine 1 MCG/kg and Ropivacaine 0.2% making a total volume of 0.5 ml/kg in Transversus abdominis plane block Control Intervention1: LA group: Ropivacaine 0.2% 0.5 m

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: ASA 1 & ASA 2

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. known containdications to peripheral nerve blockade 2. allergy to amide local anaesthetics 3. local infection at the planned injection site

To compare the time to requirement of first rescue analgesic in patients receiving TAP block.Timepoint: 0 hr,0.5 hr,1 hr,1.5 hr,2 hr,2.5 hr,3 hr,4 hr,8 hr,12 hr,18 hr,24 hr

MeasureTime frame
To compare the requirement of supplemental analgesic in the first 24 hours postoperatively.Timepoint: First 24 hours postoperatively
