Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Patients were of either gender, aged 30-68 years, having endothelial dysfunction defined as <= 6% change in reflection index (RI) on post salbutamol challenge test and having metabolic syndrome.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Patients with severe uncontrolled hypertension, uncontrolled hyperglycemia, impaired hepatic or renal function, cardiac arrhythmia, history of smoking, chronic alcoholism, malignancy or stroke, any other serious disease requiring active treatment and treatment with any other herbal supplements
