Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1.All patients meeting ICD-10 criteria for alcohol dependence as determined by two independent clinicians at the Centre for Addiction Medicine, NIMHANS 2.Either gender 3.Right handed 4.Age between 18 and 50 years 5.CIWA Ar score of 0 at treatment initiation

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1.Presence of past complicated withdrawal 2.Presence of significant medical or neurological illnesses 3.Presence of intellectual impairments or clinically significant cognitive deficits known to be associated with alcohol use disorders 4.Presence of any of the risk factors for TMS procedures as assessed using â??Screening standard questionnaire for rTMS candidatesâ??
