Interventions

Intervention1: oral prophylaxis and gel application: complete scaling for maxillary and mandibular teeth, followed by any of the three gel application. Any one gel, 1 gm will be used, two times daily

Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: presence of atleast 20 natural teeth, exhibit good periodontal health with no teeth having probing depth > 3 mm, a mean modified gingival index (MGI) and plaque index (PI) >= 1.95, systemically healthy individual, negative for hypersensitivity or allergy to pomegranate fruit, ornidazole and/or chlorhexidine

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Subjects with history of antibiotic and anti-inflammatory usage in the last 6 months, presence of oral soft tissue pathology, tobacco smokers and/or chewers, pregnant or lactating mothers
