Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: • ASA (American society of anaesthesiologists) I & II physical grading • Age between 18 to 60 years • Elective Laparoscopic Cholecystectomy

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: • Patients belonging to ASA(American society of anaesthesiologists) physical status III, IV and V • Patients with history of hypertension, diabetes • Patients with fixed cardiac output status like aortic stenosis, mitral stenosis • Patients with history of left ventricular failure, atrioventricular conduction block& severe cardiac disease • Patients with known history of bronchial asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease • Patients with renal and hepatic derangements • Patients taking clonidine, beta blocking drugs, calcium channel blockers, MAO inhibitors • Elderly (age > 60 years) and age • History of allergy to α2 agonist
