Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1. Have a clinical diagnosis of ischaemic stroke or intracerebral haemorrhage 2. Present within 48 hours of onset of symptoms or recognition of symptom in wake up stroke 3. Presentation with first ever stroke
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1- Presenting to hospital >48 hours after symptom onset 2- Stroke mimics (seizure, hypoglycaemia, toxic and metabolic encephalopathies) 3- Subarachnoid haemorrhage or venous stroke 4- Acute and chronic subdural haemorrhage 5- Patients admitted for palliative care or unlikely to survive for 72 hours 6- Patients not having a telephone 7- Patient/ caregiver not giving consent
