Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: The study will be performed by novice users of either gender in the age group of 25 to 60 years, who have at least one-year experience with use of a Macintosh laryngoscope.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Those with prior experience with use of video laryngoscope will be excluded from the study.

primary outcome variable will be first attempt intubation successTimepoint: 180 seconds from the time of insertion of laryngoscope blade between the incisors

MeasureTime frame
secondary outcome variable will be the time taken to obtain optimal laryngoscopic view; time taken for tracheal intubation; grade of laryngeal view obtained during laryngoscopy; number of intubation attempts and ease of intubation.Timepoint: 180 seconds from the time of insertion of laryngoscope blade between the incisors
