Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Newly Diagnosed ( continuous medication for DM, 2. Age between 18 years to 60 years, 3. Fasting glucose with no caloric intake for at least 8 hour >125mg/dl and HbA1C > 6.5 gm % and < 9gm%

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Established cases of IHD / Stroke, 2. With complications like diabetic foot, neuropathy or nephropathy, 3. Patients started on Insulin therapy, 4. Psychiatric patients Patients during pregnancy or lactation, 5. Patients with Serum Creatinine > 1.4 mg/dl
