Intervention1: Intervention group having Hb.level 10-12g/dl and given iron rich food supplement.: Iron rich food supplement will be provided on alternate days for 12 weeks. Hb. levels will be monitore

Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Phase-1:- Selected female cashew factory workers of 18-25 years from two factories. Phase-2:- Female cashew factory workers Hb. level from 10-12g/dl.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Phase-1:- 1. Women below 18 years old and above 25 years old. 2. Women with co morbid condition or immune compromised patients. 3. Female cashew factory other than the 2 factories mentioned above. 4. Pregnant and Lactating mothers. 5. Not willing to be part of the study Phase-2:- 1. Women having Hb. levels less than 10g/dl or more than or equal to 12g/dl. 2. Women with co-morbid condition or immune- compromised patients. 3. Any proven food allergies to the ingredients in the supplement given. 4. Having Hb levels between 10-12 g/dl but not willing to be part of study.

Comparing the difference in Hb. levels & work efficiency among intervention group and control group, after supplementation with a homemade iron rich food supplement. Timepoint: baseline of 0, 4th, 8th and 12th weeks
