Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: ASA physical status I and II of either sex aged between 2 to 8 years undergoing elective infraumbilical or urogenital surgeries.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: a) Upper respiratory tract infection ( cough, fever, rhinorrhea) on the day of surgery b) Anticipated difficult airway c) Respiratory tract pathology d) Children with increased risk of aspiration e.g, patients with gastroesophageal reflux and hiatus hernia. e)Limited head and neck movements f)BMI > 30 kg/m2

Primary

MeasureTime frame
Fiberoptic position of Laryngeal Mask Airway.Timepoint: Immediately after placing Laryngeal Mask Airway and then every 30 minutes till the end of surgery.

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
Changes in cuff pressure , oropharyngeal leak pressure and postoperative sore throat, dysphagia and hoarseness of voice.Timepoint: Immediately after placing LMA and then every 30 minutes till the end of surgery. Postoperative followup for 24 hours.
