Interventions

Intervention1: IYCF improvement module will be prepared and tested: IYCF improvement module will be developed. That will include the aspects on basic aspects of infant and child nutrition and feeding.

(i) helping in feeding

(ii) changing diaper

(iii) bathing the child

(iv) putting the child to sleep

(v) playing with the child at home

and (vi) taking the child outside the home, such as going for a walk. This module will be administered for the intervention group and the control group will receive the regular care in the study centr

Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: The select fathers attending to the infants (children aged < 1year) and young children (children aged 12-23 months Ã¢â?¬â?? WHO definition) in the selected households belonging to the geographical areas covered by Public health care Institutions of Dakshina Kannada District

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Those who refuse to give consent and severely ill individuals will be excluded from the study
