Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Age 18- 65 years 2. ASA I AND II 3. Elective lap. cholecystectomy

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Anticipated difficult airway 2. Pregnant female 3. H/O chronic hypertension 4. H/O diabetes mellitus

MeasureTime frame
The primary outcome of this study is to establish whether changes in perfusion index can be used as a new method to evaluate stress response during laparoscopic surgeryTimepoint: Specific periods of stress throughout surgery viz. intubation, trocar insertion, carbon dioxide insufflation, extubation. Monitoring of Perfusion Index will be done every 20 seconds upto 300 seconds at every stressful stimuli mentioned above.

To compare reliability of perfusion index with conventional non-invasive haemodynamic parameters (i.e. heart rate, systolic blood pressure and diastolic blood pressure) during periods of stress in abdominal laparoscopic surgery under general anaesthesia.Timepoint: Specific periods of stress throughout surgery viz. intubation, trocar insertion, carbon dioxide insufflation, extubation. Monitoring of Perfusion Index , Heart rate and blood pressure will be done every 20 seconds upto 300 seconds at every stressful stimuli mentioned above.
