Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1. Age 18- 65 years 2. ASA I AND II 3. Elective lap. cholecystectomy
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1. Anticipated difficult airway 2. Pregnant female 3. H/O chronic hypertension 4. H/O diabetes mellitus

| The primary outcome of this study is to establish whether changes in perfusion index can be used as a new method to evaluate stress response during laparoscopic surgeryTimepoint: Specific periods of stress throughout surgery viz. intubation, trocar insertion, carbon dioxide insufflation, extubation.
