Intervention1: Yoga and Meditation and epilepsy surgery: Yoga and Meditation practices for 3 months and 6 months pre-operative and post operative state respectively for the intervention group and wait

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1.People with chronic drug resistant mesial temporal lobe epilepsy 2.A radiological diagnosis of MTS 3.Willing for surgery and the study

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Drug resistant neo-cortical, temporal plus or extra- temporal lobe epilepsy No MTS on MRI or having neoplastic and vascular lesions Not willing for the surgery/study Previously operated cases

MeasureTime frame
Increase in the hippocampal volume and improvement in the memory and IQ in the intervention group compared to the control groupTimepoint: 3 months preoperative, per operative and 6 months post operatively

1.Improvement in the heart rate variability 2.Decrease in the inflammatory markers in the intervention group compared to the control groupTimepoint: 1.3 months preoperative 2.per operative 3.6 months post operatively
