Intervention1: Palliative care: Palliative care was an integral part of the active control arm right from the registration of patient. Apart from management of symptoms like pain, discharge, bleeding,

however it was almost never required. Control Intervention1: Quality of Life (QoL): QoL as measured by translated and validated Hindi version of FACIT-Cx questionnaire approved for use by FACIT

Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: i) Cancer Cervix- FIGO stage IB2- IVA ii) Karnofsky performance status (KPS) > 70.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: i) Uncontrolled co-morbidities like hypertension, diabetes, renal compromise, etc ii) Previous pelvic radiotherapy or any pelvic surgical procedures. iii) Previous exposure to chemotherapy less than 2 years from registration.
