Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Age greater than or equal to 40. 2. Diagnosed to have COPD graded according to Global Initiative for Obstructive Lung Disease (GOLD) as mild to very severe. 3. Receiving ongoing COPD medications. 4. Patient with or without smoking history. 5. Competent enough to consider informed consent. 6. All patients who are interested in quitting smoking.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1.Patients with history of asthma, allergic rhinitis, lung operation, or other respiratory disease. 2. Patients with history of serious concomitant diseases such as heart failure, liver, or renal failure. 3. Severe mobility problems or terminal illness. 4. Mental disability. 5. Active alcohol or drug abuse. 6. Inability to understand the program. 7. Inability of informal care at home. 8. Unavailability of telephone system at home
