Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Persistent proteinuria for three successive readings. Raised 24-hour urine protein Decreased creatinine clearance Known cases of DN of both gender Serum creatinine less than 4 mg/dl Blood urea less than 80 mg/dl Good glycaemic control HbA1c <8 %

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Raised levels of serum creatinine more than 4 mg/dl Blood urea more than 80 mg/dl On dialysis therapy Acute complications of diabetes
