Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1.Patients presenting classical symptoms of Prameha 2. Known diabetic (Diabetes Mellitus type II) on OHA or Insulin therapy treatment or newly diagnosed cases of diabetes mellitus (type II). 3. Patient with fasting blood sugar more than 120 mg/dl and post prandial blood sugar more than 180 mg/dl. 4. Patient showing mild to poor control in HbA1c test.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Patients with fasting blood sugar less than 120 mg% and post prandial blood sugar less than180mg% 2. Pregnant and lactating mothers 3. Patients having acute complications like Hyperglycemic coma, Ketoacidosis, and infections like gangrene. 4. Insulin Dependent Diabetes Mellitus (IDDM) and those patients who are under insulin therapy 5. Patients suffering from other diseases such as Tuberculosis, Cardiac diseases

Effect on Blood Sugar Fasting and Post prandial, Urine sugar and glycosylated haemoglobin (HbA1c) and symptoms according to five point gradation scale.Timepoint: Every 15 days till the end of 90 days (3 months)

Assessment of Lipid profile, Body weight and body mass index.Timepoint: 90 days (3 months)
