Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: •Adolescents belonging to the age group of 11-16 years including boys and girls •Those willing to participate in the study for a period of three months

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: •Subjects with past/current history of renal stones •Any known systemic, endocrine or metabolic disorder •Subjects receiving any medications known to interact with vitamin D metabolism (steroids, thiazide diuretics, phenytoin, phenobarbitone, and antitubercular drugs) •Subjects taking or had taken vitamin D supplementation in last six months •Participants with Serum 25(OH)D more than 100 ng/mLt •Participants with Serum 25 (OH)D less than 5ng/mL
