Interventions

Intervention1: Stable Support Core Stability Regime: Core stability of selective internal and external oblique, transverse abdominals using plinth. Exercise Intensity: 1 hour therapy session, 3 days

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Unilateral supratentorial ischemic or hemorrhagic stroke lesion. 2. Ability to walk 10 meters independently with or without walking aid. 3. Ability to understand and respond to simple verbal comments. 4. Brunnstrom recovery stage 3 and beyond. 5. Trunk Impairment Scale score less than 21.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Severe musculo-skeletal conditions such as low back ache. 2. Parkinson disease, Vestibular dysfunction affecting balance performance. 3. Pusher syndrome.

1. Activity specific Balance Confidence (ABC) Scale 2. Reintegration to Normal Living Index (RNLI) 3. Stroke Impact Scale-16 (SIS-16) 4. Performance Oriented Mobility Assessment Timepoint: Four time points: Baseline, 6 months post-intervention, 3 months and 12 months follow-up.
