Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1.American Society of Anaesthesiologists physical status grade I or II adults 2.Age 18 to 65 years 3.Undergoing elective surgery under general anaesthesia with orotracheal intubation.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1. Patients with anticipated difficult intubation 2. Modified Mallampati class of oropharyngeal view 3 or 4 3. Swelling or contractures in the neck 4. Distorted tracheal anatomy 5. Risk of aspiration 6. Patients requiring use of flexometallic or preformed tubes 7. Bleeding diathesis 8. Patients on anticoagulation medication
