Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Cases were chosen based on the following inclusion criteria: 1.subjects had non-compromised systemic health 2.no contraindication for periodontal surgery, 3.adjacent Miller Class I or II recession defects >2mm in upper and/or lower teeth, 4.the involved teeth were free of periapical pathology 5.presence of identifiable CEJ (a step <=1mm at CEJ level and/or presence of a root abrasion, but with an identifiable CEJ, were accepted);

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Subjects were excluded from the study if they were current smokers or chewers of tobacco, had endodontically treated sites or root surface restorations on sites, were pregnant or lactating, used fixed orthodontic or removable appliances, or had a previous root coverage procedure at recession sites.
