Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Patients duration of type 2 diabetes mellitus 1-5 years subjects on stable statin therapy for a minimum period of three months vitamin D levels less than 20ng/mL Stable treated hypertension

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1 Other forms of Diabetes (T1DM Gestational diabetes mellitus 2 Known thyroid disorders 3 Known malignancy 4 Known cerebrovascular diseases 5 Known myocardial infarction 6 Chronic kidney diseases 7 Acute and chronic inflammatory diseases 8 Smokers and alcoholic 9 Pregnant and lactating women 10 Any change in treatment during the study period 11 Patients who are on insulin and lipid lowering drugs corticosteroids and vitamin D or calcium supplementation will be excluded from study
